Moosecat Comics is an independent comic book imprint created by Jesse Keppler. I started creating comic books as a child for my own joy and continued writing for many years afterwards. In 2020, I decided to fulfill that lifelong dream of making a comic book "for real". Years later, I've now released several books with plans for many more. Books often release first via Kickstarter before becoming available through this website and even in local NC stores.
Robo is a cyberpunk adventure comic book about a world with only corporate power, the specter of artificial intelligence, breaking free of how our jobs define our lives, and the struggle of those who are used and discarded by the system. Charles Centon is an employee of Sunburst Technologies Inc, a weapons technology company that employs him to be Robo, a PR tool to showcase their powerful weaponry. Except that Charles believes Robo is meant to be a hero to the people of NeuChicago first and foremost. Follow Charles as he tries to define himself in a world where the only thing that matters is your productivity to your employer.
Shujaa Shujinko is a cyberninja highly skilled in corporate espionage and her services are available to anyone who can pay the price. Almost anyone. Shujaa navigates the same world as Robo as an independent woman trying not to sell out her own values while still making a living. In Shujaa: The Discriminator we follow her on a job in the Territory Corporation of Cascadia. Shujaa races through the violent suppression of a protest movement trying to remove a bad apple from the resistance for her mysterious employer. As she discovers that something is wrong with the job, she will need to save herself as well as make a decision she can live with on the task she's set out to do.
